Create a new snapshot for a volume.

HTTP request

POST https://netapp.googleapis.com/v1alpha1/{parent=projects/*/locations/*/volumes/*}/snapshots

The URL uses gRPC Transcoding syntax.

Path parameters

Parameters
parent	string Required. The NetApp volume to create the snapshots of, in the format projects/{projectId}/locations/{location}/volumes/{volumeId}

Query parameters

Parameters
snapshotId	string Required. ID of the snapshot to create. Must be unique within the parent resource. Must contain only letters, numbers, underscore and hyphen, with the first character a letter or underscore, the last a letter or underscore or a number, and a 63 character maximum.

Request body

The request body contains an instance of Snapshot.

Response body

If successful, the response body contains a newly created instance of Operation.

Requires the following OAuth scope:

• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/cloud-platform
